There is a new DSL high speed internet service provider in the provinces of Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, PEI, and Newfoundland & Labrador. In addition to already being a cable high speed internet provider in Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario and Quebec, WRS Web Solutions Inc. now has permission to offer DSL high speed internet in the above provinces. Plans, prices and fee will vary by province and delivery network used, and are subject to changing market conditions. The company website is in the process of being updated to show these new plans.
DSL high speed internet is delivered over traditional copper phone lines as opposed to cable high speed internet which is delivered over cable TV lines. The speed and quality of DSL internet is dependant on many factors including the distance of the copper phone line from the home to other equipment further back on the network. If you were unable to get DSL internet from the phone company, or the quality or speed was not good, you may have the same problems with our DSL internet, as we would be using the same phone company lines.
For many rural residents who do not have access to cable TV lines, but have access to copper phone lines, DSL high speed internet may be a good option.
